03 / LEFT ATRIAL APPENDAGE CLOSURE
Plan appendage closure from CT.
QuanLAAC uses cardiac CT to measure the left atrium and appendage, mark the opening and landing zone, and compare closure devices.
Request a QuanLAAC demo →The device view shows geometric fit. It does not simulate device or tissue forces.
Left atrium & appendage.
Review the left atrium and appendage, measure their volumes, and trace the appendage centreline.
Confirm the appendage axis.
Review the centreline, appendage length, bends, depth, and suggested morphology. The confirmed axis guides the ostium and landing-zone views.
Ostium definition.
Mark the opening using nearby structures as guides. Review its minimum and maximum width, perimeter, and area.
Family-specific landing zones.
Measure the landing-zone width and usable depth for each supported device type.
Review contrast filling.
Review low-density regions in the appendage and compare delayed-phase images when available. CT attenuation alone cannot distinguish thrombus from slow flow. Compare delayed-phase images when available and review the finding clinically.
Sizing & compression.
Compare device sizes, expected compression, and depth. Check shallow appendages and nearby lobes.
Preview device deployment.
Animate the selected device in the measured appendage and review its shape, compression, wall gap, and contact. This is a geometric, kinematic simulation; it does not calculate device or tissue stress.
LAACAssist.
Review the selected working view and planned device depth. Record the deployed diameter and complete checks for position, stability, compression, and seal.
